Converted amount = source amount × target currency units per one source unit.
How to use this currency converter
Select the original currency and target currency, then enter a manual exchange rate showing how many target units equal one source unit. Adjust the rate using a trusted quote.
Formula and calculation method
Converted amount = source amount × target currency units per one source unit.
Worked example
If one source unit is worth 0.90 target units, entering 100 gives 90 target units before fees.
Understanding the result
Exchange-rate notation can be confusing. In this tool the entered rate always means target currency units received for one source currency unit. Reversing a rate without taking its reciprocal can produce a wrong answer, even though the arithmetic itself appears valid.
When to use this calculator
Copy the exchange quote from a reliable provider, check the rate direction and note its date. Payment providers may add a transfer fee or use a different customer rate, so the final settled value can differ from the mathematical conversion.
What the results do not include
Rates are user-provided and may be stale. Bank spreads, transfer fees and settlement rates can change the amount received.
Frequently asked questions
Are exchange rates updated automatically?
No. Enter your own rate. The tool labels the rate as manual.
Does the conversion include transfer fees?
No. Deduct fees or adjust the rate separately.
